Compress a Passport Photo
Reduce the file size of an existing digital photo. This tool does not validate passport or visa rules, crop to an official template, or make an unsuitable photo compliant.
Start with the requirements
Check the instructions from the issuing authority first: file type, byte limit, pixel dimensions, framing and photo-editing restrictions. Keep the original.
Make and inspect a copy
Enter the actual size limit from your application, compress a copy, and inspect it for blur or artifacts. Do not assume one country's requirements apply to another.
What this tool changes
The output is a JPEG. Re-encoding can change quality and remove image metadata. It does not assess whether a document or photo is valid for its intended use.
